Direct Primary Care (DPC)
Direct Primary Care is a flat monthly membership that gives you a direct relationship with a primary care practice — longer visits, easier access, and transparent pricing — outside of the insurance billing system.
How Direct Primary Care works
With DPC, you pay a primary care practice a flat monthly fee — typically $50–$100 per adult — for unlimited access to routine care: office visits, telehealth, basic labs, and care coordination. There are no copays and no insurance claims between you and your doctor.
DPC is not insurance. It covers the everyday primary care relationship, not hospital stays, specialists, or major procedures. For those larger expenses, most members pair DPC with a health share or a higher-deductible plan.
Why people choose it
- Time with your doctor. Smaller patient panels mean longer, unhurried visits.
- Transparent pricing. You know the monthly cost up front; no surprise bills.
- Direct access. Same- or next-day appointments, plus phone, text, or video.
Is DPC right for you?
DPC works well alongside a cost-sharing arrangement for people who value an ongoing relationship with a primary care doctor and want predictable everyday costs. We can help you decide whether a DPC + health share combination fits your budget and your family’s needs.
